Wild Iceland – Southwest is a book the size of a postcard and is full of unique pictures from the dramatic land of ice and fire.

Powerful high-temperature geothermal areas, crashing waves, majestic mountain ranges, lively bird cliffs and the world-famous Blue Lagoon can all be found in Southwest Iceland, an area in this book consisting of the Reykjanes Peninsula. The peninsula is fairly barren, as its western part is more or less covered in young, sharp-edged lava fields. Approximately 20 km south of Reykjavík is the mountain range Brennisteinsfjöll with its magnificent crater rows and lava caves. Visiting the Reykjanes Peninsula is said to be a similar experience to landing on the moon or on Mars.

The Wild Iceland series consists of eight pocket-sized photo books. Each book focuses on a selection of the most eye-catching natural formations in individual parts of Iceland: South Iceland, Southwest Iceland, Reykjavík, West Iceland, Westfjords, North Iceland, East Iceland and the Highlands.
